I feel like a broken record sometimes when I write these entries, but all of my couples are truly fantastic enough to merit such praise! These two were so much fun. So down to earth and completely adorable with each other.  They’ll be my first wedding of 2010 and after 3 months of being cooped up without weddings,  it will be quite a welcome start to the season.

Congrats you two!

With promises from the weather man of a lovely, sunny, 60-something degree day, we set off for Drew and Amanda’s wedding…only to be met with wind, clouds, and what felt like all of 20 degrees. I’m fairly certain that nothing could deter the happiness of these two though! I was seriously giggling like a 3 year old all day long..okay, not ALL day – but there was just such an abundance of joy at this wedding – it was rather contagious.

LOVED these shoes that Amanda went all the way to Tennessee to get ;)

Gorgeous train – although I’m not sure how tiny little Amanda carried around all that dress all day! The things we do for our new husbands… :)

I love grandparents – some must thing I’m crazy for the way I stalk them with my camera at weddings, but they’re just so precious.

Just about the happiest father-daughter dance I’ve been fortunate enough to witness. I may or may not have gotten a bit teary at this one…

Capping off a beautiful reception at Kickapoo Creek Winery with a little swing dancing – this day was completely, wonderfully, perfect. Congratulations Drew and Amanda!

Sometimes starting these blog posts is like writing a letter/paper/any written item – I really never know how to begin things, so please always remember to take my words with a grain of salt and a dr. seuss-like train of thought.  Thank you!

Anyway, onward we go. I was fortunate enough to spend a car ride to Yates City worth of time with these two before our shoot – and even MORE fortunate to have the most darling little puppy ever sharing my lap for the ride ;) Jessica has an acquaintance with a huge plot of land – as in 500 acres huge that they were kind enough to let us use. Apparently this place used to be a coal mine of sorts, so it’s left all kinds of fantastic little lakes and hills everywhere – it was basically a photographer’s dream.  The weather was not particularly kind to us on this day, but we ventured out regardless and I love the moody, romantic results the day produced.

I’m obviously looking very much forward to this wedding – thanks for the adventure you three! :)

Brandon and I had SO much fun with these two! We were lucky enough to secure one of the few, elusive, lovely autumn days for their shoot and made the most of it. I’m thrilled to say that Brandon and I have found kindred spirits in rollerblading. No, it did not die in the 90’s with the fanny pack.  And that right there is enough to make me really like these two. Add to that the fact that they’re pretty much fantastic in front of the camera and I’m one happy camper.

Thanks much you two – can’t wait until your big day!

Jerry and Katie | Wedding

Before this day, I had never met either Jerry or Katie – and yet I was not the least bit worried that we wouldn’t be a good match. After learning little bits about them on their wedding website, I was 100% sure that they would be the perfect couple – and they did not disappoint! From the very beginning of the day I felt completely welcome because seriously EVERYONE associated with this wedding had to have won some sort of award for “nicest person ever”. It was fantastic! Jerry and Katie are completely and adorably in love – their ceremony was so beautifully touching and personal and the reception at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyard, although rain moved most of it indoors, was a fun-filled event; full of personality.

Thank you for a wonderful day and congratulations to you both!

Why yes, that is Jerry’s Dad sitting on his shoulders during the reception!
