Things I know about Keith and Brooke:
Her engagement ring is aaaamazing. Expect some macro shots of that bad boy come wedding time.
They wore outfits that the camera loved (I cannot say enough how great “salmon” looks with green scenery. Really great)
I think Brooke looks like “Maggie Q” I had to look up her name because I only knew she is in Mission Impossible 3 and a Die Hard movie – and I just gave away that I watch movies like that – my heart lies with Jane Austen-esque movies though, I promise!
One or both of them may have poison ivy right now, because I do. And after I told them there wasn’t any!
They are ridiculously cute together, see for yourself.
Keith and Brooke | Engagement
Matt and Katie | Engagement
I love engagement sessions for allowing a small peek into our couple’s lives and love. I love seeing how two people in love interact – because no two are ever the same and that’s such a beautiful thing. Katie and Matt and their “puppy” Wrigley were all charming and I can’t wait to see them again for their wedding…sans Wrigley I would imagine, although we’ve had dog ring bearers before! *hint hint*
Aaron and Jessica | Wedding
Aaron and Jessica’s wedding day was one of happiness, love, Illinois scenery at it’s finest and lovingly restored blue trucks. Jessica was absolutely stunning – I always have a thing for chandelier earrings…if only my ears were pierced
Their families were full of love and support, Grandma even gave into the girls requests to get her on the dance floor – it’s always more fun when everyone “participates” at the reception!
Congratulations to you both.

Wow – it has been 365 days since we took this little trip up to the Eagle River, WI area but I thought it was time to put up some pictures given it’s one year anniversary
I actually don’t remember if I’ve posted these before and didn’t feel like reading through the whole years worth of blog to find out, so if you’ve seen these already- here they are again!
This is a place that I went as a child with my parents – it’s so remote and beautiful and full of wildlife; basically everything that I love. The cabin was completely rustic and has a huge stone fireplace that I believe was created to make smores in. There is no TV so at night we would read and it was beautiful. Everything is crisper and cleaner and the mosquitoes are bigger and there are LOONS. One thing that must be known about me (and now Brandon) is that we have an obsession with loons. That’s the bird with the red eyes and black and white markings. They have the most haunting call and when it echos over a still lake at night – magic. Seriously, look up loon calls or songs on itunes or amazon – so beautiful. So we stalked these guys all over the lake in our creaky row boat (we didn’t want to use the motor because the lake was super low and rocks all over = so scary) so Brandon rowed EVERYWHERE and his back hated him but it was worth it to get close to these creatures.
So now I’m sitting in the office on a gorgeous end of summer’s day loving the weather yet wishing to be back somewhere like this….or the mountains, even better
